This is a painting of the sea grapes and surf of Jupiter Beach in Florida. It was painted on a typical Springtime afternoon. Besides adding beauty, sea grapes act to stabilize the protective sand dunes and shield nesting Loggerhead turtles from disorienting shore lights.
This painting has been selected by the University of Rhode Island's Sea Grant Program for inclusion in its 2010 Calendar of Events.
