HMS Ulysses Attacked By Heinkel IIIs Off North Cape
Oil on Canvas
20 x 24
$800.00 Available
This is the fourth painting in my "Ships That Never Were" series. HMS Ulysses was the ill-fated, British Dido Class, light cruiser featured in Alister MacLean's first and, perhaps, best novel of the same name published in 1955. My painting shows her heavily engaged in anti-aircraft defense while escorting the battered remnants of Convoy FR77 on the infamous Murmansk Run.
