| This is the first painting in my series "Ships That Never Were." It depicts the USS Reluctant (AK-601) made famous in the 1955 film "Mr. Roberts" starring Henry Fonda and James Cagney. If you look very closely you'll notice the infamous palm tree on the starboard side of the deckhouse just forward of the bridge. |
