I made this painting based on some photo references as well as my own experiences at sea. It depicts the violence of one of the most powerful forces on earth: the raging sea. "Storm Surge" has been juried into the 9th Annual American Impressionist Society Exhibition held at the Coda Gallery, Palm Desert, California from November 22 to December 22, 2008.
